What is the Bosch Performance Upgrade 2.0?
Bosch’s Performance Upgrade 2.0 is a free software update for selected Bosch eBike Smart System motors. It allows riders to customise key performance values through the eBike Flow app, including torque, power and support.
On compatible motors, this can unlock stronger acceleration, more powerful climbing assistance and higher support at lower speeds, especially useful for technical climbs, heavy loads and demanding eMTB riding.

More torque helps the bike accelerate harder and gives extra support when climbing steep or technical sections.

Higher peak motor performance can make tough climbs and strenuous trail sections easier to manage.

Up to 600% support
More support means a stronger boost from the motor, particularly useful at low cadences and lower speeds.
Which bikes are eligible?
The upgrade is available on selected Bosch Smart System drive units, including certain Performance Line CX, CX-R, CX Race, Cargo Line and Performance Line PX motors.
The exact upgrade available depends on the motor version and the bike manufacturer’s settings. If you are unsure whether a bike is compatible, speak to us before ordering and we can check the details for you.
