The Tailwind 806 is Wisper’s flagship folding electric bike – ideal for motorhomes, caravans, boats and riders with limited storage. It folds down quickly yet feels solid and stable on the road, with no “hinge flex” when the locking mechanism is engaged. A very low step-through makes it easy to mount and dismount, while the huge adjustment range on saddle and stem means it suits riders from roughly 4’6" to 6’6".

Choose from different battery sizes and motor control options (cadence-based or the more responsive Encore torque-and-cadence system), plus an optional Venture Pack for tougher, all-season riding.

Wisper UK-legal full-throttle e-bikes

Wisper is one of the few UK e-bike brands to offer MVSA-certified, UK-legal full-throttle versions of certain models, including the Tailwind 806 720Wh. These bikes can be ridden up to 15.5mph using the throttle alone (no pedalling required), while still meeting the legal 250W / 25 km/h assistance limits.

Full-throttle Wisper bikes are tested and Type Approved as L1e 250W low-powered mopeds, with certification matched to the frame number. You still get all the normal pedal-assist modes, but you can use the throttle for:

• Extra help pulling away from junctions or traffic lights
• Steady low-speed control in traffic or shared-use areas
• Giving tired legs a breather on hills or in hot weather
• Making e-bikes more accessible for riders with reduced mobility
