Experience all the benefits of an electric cargo bike with the handling of a regular bicycle. The Tern HSD features a low centre of gravity and 20” wheels, making it easy to ride. Despite being shorter than a standard bike, it can haul up to 180kg of gross vehicle weight.
With a large rear rack capacity of 80kg, you can carry an infant, a medium-sized adult passenger, or plenty of cargo!
Conquer steep hills and accelerate from a standstill with ease, even when loaded with extra cargo. The new Bosch Performance Line Smart System motor delivers up to 50% more torque than previous models, providing 340% pedal assistance.
Easily switch between assistance levels using the intuitive Intuvia 100 display with LED remote. It features four selectable modes, walk assist, connectivity with the Bosch eBike Flow app, and an electronic bike lock.
Instead of a chain, the HSD uses a silent, smooth, and virtually maintenance-free Gates CDX Belt Drive. The new Auto mode senses deceleration on climbs and automatically provides extra support.
In just fifteen seconds, the Tern HSD P5i can transform into a flat package, perfect for fitting into any SUV, station wagon, or bus storage compartment. Like all GSD models, the HSD can be stored vertically, ideal for city living.
The Tern HSD accommodates riders from 4’11” to 6’5” and features an easily adjustable cockpit for a sporty or upright riding position.
