The Ampere Deluxe 26″ is a compact, comfortable and easy-to-handle step-through electric bike designed specifically for smaller riders. Combining a low 16″ frame with 26″ wheels, powerful 65Nm electric assistance and a full range of everyday equipment, it’s ideal for commuting, leisure riding, shopping trips and countryside exploring.
Compact 16″ step-through frame + 250W 65Nm motor + up to 55-mile range + Shimano hydraulic disc brakes + puncture-resistant tyres + 100 LUX front light + integrated rear indicators.
The Ampere Deluxe 26 is designed for riders who find a conventional full-size hybrid electric bike too tall or cumbersome. Its 16″ low step-through frame and compact 26″ wheels make mounting, dismounting and manoeuvring the bike much easier.
Ampere recommends the Deluxe 26 for riders approximately 4ft11 to 5ft4. The upright riding position, adjustable stem and comfort saddle create a relaxed, confidence-inspiring riding position for everyday cycling.
At the heart of the Deluxe 26 is a 250W 36V brushless rear hub motor producing up to 65Nm of torque. That's a strong level of assistance for a bike in this category and gives the Deluxe plenty of support when climbing hills, riding into headwinds or accelerating from a standstill.
Assistance is designed to feel smooth and progressive, helping you ride further and tackle more demanding journeys without taking away the familiar feeling of riding a bicycle.
The removable battery sits neatly within the frame, giving the Deluxe a clean, modern appearance while keeping the bike nicely balanced.
Battery options include 36V 10Ah and 14Ah lithium-ion batteries, allowing you to choose the capacity that best suits your riding.
With the larger battery, Ampere quotes a maximum range of up to 55 miles in suitable conditions. Actual range will vary depending on rider weight, hills, weather, tyre pressure and the level of electric assistance used.
The latest Deluxe 26 uses a dependable Shimano Altus 7-speed drivetrain operated by an easy-to-use rapid-fire shifter.
A wide-range Shimano Megarange 14–34T freewheel gives you a useful low gear for hills while retaining comfortable gearing for everyday road and leisure riding. A KMC anti-rust chain adds extra durability for year-round use.
Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes provide smooth, predictable stopping power in both wet and dry conditions.
Large 180mm brake rotors front and rear provide plenty of braking power for an electric bike, helping the Deluxe feel controlled and reassuring on hills and in busy traffic.
A Suntour suspension fork helps absorb potholes and uneven surfaces, while the comfort saddle, ergonomic grips and adjustable riding position are designed to keep longer rides relaxed.
The latest Deluxe 26 is fitted with 26×1.95 Kenda puncture-resistant tyres. Their generous width provides a good combination of grip, stability and comfort while additional puncture protection gives extra peace of mind on everyday journeys.
A centrally mounted colour TFT LCD display keeps key information clear and easy to read, including speed, battery level, trip distance and assistance settings.
The display also incorporates a USB power connection for compatible devices, while walk assist up to 4mph makes it easier to manoeuvre the bike when you're off the saddle.
The latest Deluxe takes everyday visibility seriously. A powerful 100 LUX integrated front light is powered directly by the main e-bike battery, so there's no need to worry about separate light batteries.
At the rear, the integrated light incorporates turning indicators, allowing you to signal your intentions using handlebar controls without removing a hand from the bars.
